Homework Coach
This service provides your student with an individual who is experienced in homework coaching can sit with your student and tend to the day’s assignments on Canvas. It will be the same homework coach each day assigned to your student for consistency. They will encourage learning in a fun and interactive way virtually. You can choose from 1 day up to 5 days. The coaches will email the parent after each session informing them that the day’s assignments have been completed. The coaches will also inform parents if there were resistances to learning or learning challenges. I.e. perhaps we will recommend no cell phone usage during school time or a less distracted environment. Coaches will be aware from the initial assessment of fun break time activities so they can prepare ahead of time.
Executive Function Coach
This service is for children who have challenges with organization, focus or may be struggling with ADD or ADHD. Executive Function Coaches help to organize the students schedule/calendar with Canvas for the week and organize how the student should carry out. They also follow up daily with your student’s progress to make sure assignments are complete in a timely manner. The Executive Function Coaches check in with parents each week with progress reports and will contact parents if there are resistances to learning. The executive function coaches do collaborate with homework coaches. If there is not a homework coach in the home already the executive function coach may recommend that service to the family.
Special Subject Tutor
We have tutors in the following subjects: English, Math (all levels), Spanish, Physics,Science, Biology History. Tutors also work virtually with students on an hourly basis as often as needed. If there is a Homework Coach or an Executive Function Coach in the home our tutors can collaborate with them.
